The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality is seeking public feedback on two draft stormwater permits and a draft wastewater permit for Duke Energy’s Buck Combined Cycle Station. The Rowan County facility discharges to the Yadkin River in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin.
As part of the public comment period, the state will host will host a public hearing on the three draft permits at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Rowan County Cooperative Extension, 2727 Old Concord Road, Salisbury, N.C. Speaker registration will begin at 5 p.m.

All comments received by June 20 will be considered in the agency’s final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
