State coastal commission’s science panel to meet June 29 in Wilmington

The North Carolina Coastal Resources Commission’s Science Panel will meet June 29 in Wilmington to review updated proposed inlet hazard area boundaries using the amended methodology as recommended by the panel at their meeting on December 5, 2017.

The panel will meet at 10 a.m. at the UNC Wilmington Center for Marine Science, 5600 Marvin K Moss Lane in Wilmington. The meeting is open to the public. Oral and written comments will be accepted at the meeting.

The panel provides scientific advice to the state’s Coastal Resources Commission. It was created by the commission in 1997, and is composed of coastal engineers and geologists.
