State Holds Public Sessions on Development of the Clean Energy Plan

<p>The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality will hold a series of public listening sessions on the development of the state&rsquo;s Clean Energy Plan, starting Friday, March 8th. The public sessions will include updates from the stakeholder workshop process and give attendees an opportunity to provide public comment.&nbsp;</p>

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality will hold a series of public listening sessions on the development of the state’s Clean Energy Plan, starting Friday, March 8th. The public sessions will include updates from the stakeholder workshop process and give attendees an opportunity to provide public comment. 

The Clean Energy Plan is part of  Gov. Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 80, which addresses the impacts of climate change and the state’s transition to a clean energy economy.

WHEN: March 14, 1-3:30 pm
WHERE: The Collider, Asheville            

WHEN: March 19, 2-4:30 pm
WHERE: The Rocky Mount Event Center, Rocky Mount

WHEN: March 25, 1-3:30 pm
WHERE: Fayetteville State University, Shaw Auditorium, Fayetteville

WHEN: March 27, 1-3:30 pm
WHERE: Cape Fear Community College, Union Station Building, Wilmington

WHEN: March 29, 1-3:30 pm
WHERE: Council of Governments, Hickory
