State Requests Comment on Belews Creek Draft Air Permit

<p>The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Air Quality is accepting public comment on a draft air permit for Duke Energy Carolinas Belews Creek Steam Station in Stokes County.&nbsp; The proposed project includes adding natural gas co-firing capability to coal-fired Units 1 and 2 and the conversion of Auxiliary Boilers 1 and 2 to natural gas firing.&nbsp; The comment period is open from March 4, 2019, until April 3, 2019.</p>

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Air Quality is accepting public comment on a draft air permit for Duke Energy Carolinas Belews Creek Steam Station in Stokes County.  The proposed project includes adding natural gas co-firing capability to coal-fired Units 1 and 2 and the conversion of Auxiliary Boilers 1 and 2 to natural gas firing.  The comment period is open from March 4, 2019, until April 3, 2019.
