State Climate Change Interagency Council to Meet April 26

<p>The N.C. Climate Change Interagency Council will hold its third meeting on April 26 at the NC State Archives Building in Raleigh. The agenda will focus on Section 9 of Executive Order 80, including the development of the North Carolina Climate Risk Assessment and discussion with the climate science experts partnering with the state on that effort.</p>

The N.C. Climate Change Interagency Council will hold its third meeting on April 26 at the NC State Archives Building in Raleigh. The agenda will focus on Section 9 of Executive Order 80, including the development of the North Carolina Climate Risk Assessment and discussion with the climate science experts partnering with the state on that effort.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for individuals and organizations to provide input to cabinet agency representatives on the implementation of climate change and clean energy initiatives. Comments will be limited to two minutes and speakers will have the opportunity to sign up when they arrive at the meeting.

The Interagency Council was established by Governor Cooper’s Executive Order No. 80 and directed cabinet agencies to coordinate their efforts to address climate change and transition to a clean energy economy.
