The North Carolina Climate Change Interagency Council will hold its fourth meeting in Winston-Salem on Tuesday, July 16th. The agenda will include speakers from the North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies (NCICS) along with updates from agencies directed to prepare plans and assessments. Also on the agenda are updates on other activities related to Section 9 of Executive Order 80, involving climate impacts, adaptation, and resilience.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for individuals and organizations to provide input to cabinet agencies. Comments will be limited to two minutes and speakers will have the opportunity to sign up for speaking time when they arrive at the meeting.
The Interagency Council was established by Governor Cooper’s Executive Order No. 80 and directed cabinet agencies to coordinate their efforts to address climate change and transition to a clean energy economy.
