MEDIA ADVISORY: State Water Infrastructure Authority to meet July 10


The State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet Wednesday, July 10, at the NC Rural Center, 4021 Carya Drive, Raleigh 27610. The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

Agenda items include:
• Funding Decisions for Drinking Water and Wastewater Projects
• Priority System Modifications for the 2019 Intended Use Plans (IUPs) for CWSRF and DWSRF Programs
• Ensuring Viable Utilities Work Session

The authority is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
