State Climate Change Interagency Council to meet Sept 27

The North Carolina Climate Change Interagency Council will meet in Raleigh on Friday, September 27.  The agenda will include presentations to the Cabinet Secretaries on the Clean Energy Plan, Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Plan, Motor Fleet ZEV Plan and the Workforce Assessments. These plans were developed as directed in Gov. Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 80.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for individuals and organizations to provide input to cabinet agencies. Comments will be limited to two minutes and speakers will have the opportunity to sign up for speaking time when they arrive at the meeting.

The Interagency Council was established by Governor Cooper’s Executive Order No. 80 and directed cabinet agencies to coordinate their efforts to address climate change and transition to a clean energy economy.
