State Water Infrastructure Authority to meet Feb. 12

RALEIGH

The State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the N. C. Rural Economic Development Center, 4021 Carya Drive, in Raleigh. The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

 

Meeting Action Items:

  • Funding decisions for the Fall 2019 Funding Round (Community Development Block Grant-Infrastructure program, Drinking Water Projects, Wastewater Projects, Asset Inventory and Assessment Grants, and Merger / Regionalization Feasibility Grants)

  • (Federal) Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act, 2019

  • Emergency Operating Funds for Utilities (Session Law 2019-226)

  • Water Loss Pilot Program Update

 

The authority is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
