Community Information Session on PFAS/GenX Postponed

<p><strong>RALEIGH</strong> &ndash; The community information session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 12, at Hope Mills Middle has been postponed. Given the current guidance on minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendation that people at high risk of illness should avoid large groups and community gatherings, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will reschedule the meeting.</p>

RALEIGH – The community information session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 12, at Hope Mills Middle has been postponed. Given the current guidance on minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendation that people at high risk of illness should avoid large groups and community gatherings, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will reschedule the meeting.

People at high risk include anyone: over 65 years of age, or with underlying health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes, or with weakened immune systems. A rescheduled date for the community meeting will be announced as soon as possible.
