State officials today lifted a precautionary advisory against swimming for the remainder of ocean beaches in Brunswick County, and for sound-side sites in Brunswick, New Hanover, Pender, Onslow and most of Carteret County.

Two additional N.C. Coastal Reserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve sites are open to visitors after closure due to Hurricane Dorian.

The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission and Coastal Resources Advisory Council will meet Sept. 18-19 at the New Hanover County Government Center, Human Resources Training Room, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington. Prior to the commission meeting, the Coastal Resources Advisory Council will meet at 10 a.m. at the same location.

The State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the City of Hickory Water Treatment Plant, 1560 Old Lenoir Road NW, HIckory 28601.

The N.C. Environmental Management Commission (EMC) will meet September 11-12 at the Archdale Building, 512 N. Salisbury Street in Raleigh.
