DEQ, EPA and Multistate Trust to Hold Public Meetings about Kerr-McGee Site in Navassa

RALEIGH – State and federal officials together with Multistate Trust representatives will hold two community meetings regarding the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp – Navassa Superfund site on Tuesday, December 7. Topics will include the upcoming Operable Unit 2 excavation and related work, ongoing investigations and reuse planning.

Division of Coastal Management awarded funds to expand coastal resiliency program in North Carolina

The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management has received nearly $546 thousand dollars as one of 49 new grants awarded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Emergency Coastal Resilience Fund 2021 grant cycle. The funds will be used to enhance the resilience of North Carolina’s coastal communities and natural resources by supporting local planning and pre-construction activities.
