The Town of Carolina Beach [1121 Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428] has requested a modification of permit NC0023256 for its wastewater treatment plant in New Hanover County. This permitted facility discharges treated municipal wastewater to the Cape Fear River in the Cape Fear River Basin. Currently BOD, ammonia nitrogen, dissolved oxygen, enterococci, total copper and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of the Cape Fear River.
