Public Hearing: Duke Energy's H.F. Lee Draft Wastewater Permit

PUBLIC NOTICE
N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES
WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0003417.

Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by Dec. 15, 2016 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

PUBLIC HEARING
The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to accept comments on the draft permit at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Wayne County Center, 208 W. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27533. Speaker registration begins at 5 p.m.

PERMIT APPLICATION
Duke Energy Progress, Inc. has applied for a NPDES wastewater permit for the H.F. Lee Energy Complex, 1199 Black Jack Church Rd., Goldsboro, N.C., Wayne County. The facility discharges to the Neuse River and to unnamed tributaries in the Neuse River basin.
