This Administrative Code was established by various experts and engineers in the field of to Environmental Sciences. The Code presents Dam Safety with an unbiased and science driven approach determining if a dam is Jurisdictional to NC Dam Safety and if so, what Hazard Classification does the dam fall under.

3 Hazard Classifications:

  • Class-A: Low Hazard Potential
  • Class-B: Intermediate Hazard Potential
  • Class-C: High Hazard Potential
