Solid Waste Facility Training
NC General Statutes 130A-291.3 and 130A-309.25 require operators of solid waste management facilities to have completed a solid waste management facility operator training course approved by the Department. The term "operators" may include supervisors and managers. Facilities permitted by the Solid Waste Section that are subject to the training requirements must have trained personnel present during all hours of operation at a minimum. Training information for various facility types can be found below (more to come on landfills and transfer stations).
