Tips for Small Generators

If your business generates only a few pallets, and your local government does not have a pallet recycling program or a private pallet recycler is unwilling to collect a small quantity of pallets, here are some ideas:

• Band together with other small businesses and combine small quantities of pallets into one larger load that may be more attractive to pallet recyclers.
• Piggyback with large businesses to market your pallets through their recycler.
• Contact A ‘Pallet Jockey’, or small quantity recyclers who may be interested in hauling pickup truckloads of pallets. Call pallet recyclers as well as local government contacts to inquire about pallet jockeys in your area.
• Post a ‘FREE’ sign on your pallets or post them on trading sites like Craigslist or NC WasteTrader.
