The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) Science Panel will meet Nov. 7 by web conference to conduct its annual review of new sea level rise studies and information. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. The public may join the meeting by computer or phone.

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will hold a community information meeting on Tuesday, November 29, at the Community Center in Riegelwood Community Park.

Notice of Intent to Issue a NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0059200 Trillium Links & Village WWTP The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the above address. Interested persons may visit the DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604 to review the information on file. Trillium Links & Village, LLC (P.O. Box 2644, Cashiers, NC 28717) has applied for renewal of permit NC0059200 for its WWTP in Jackson County. This facility discharges to an unnamed tributary to Hurricane Creek in the Little Tennessee River Basin. Currently BOD, total suspended solids, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, dissolved oxygen and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Hurricane Creek. (Public Notice will run in the Crossroads Chronicle on 10/26/22.)
