The Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is now accepting applications for the School Bus Program grants under Phase 2 of the Volkswagen Mitigation plan.

After a comprehensive review, the Department of Environmental Quality has sent a letter today directing Chemours to expand the scope and detail of its proposed interim sampling and drinking water plan for New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, and Pender counties.

March 1 marks the beginning of the 2022 ozone season as state and local environmental agencies renew their daily air quality forecasts for ozone across North Carolina.

Members of the public are welcome to participate online or by phone. Internet access is not required to attend the meeting.
