We provide services and technical expertise focused on energy efficiency in the public sector, encourage the growth and development of the state’s energy economy with the goal of making North Carolina a leader in the creation of energy jobs. We also work to increase the use of renewable energy, alternative fuels and energy efficiency throughout the state, serving as the principal source of information for these energy areas. In addition, the group provides staffing for the state Energy Policy Council. Energy Projects The NC State Energy Program is working with its numerous federal, private, academic, and non-profit partners to create and manage programs that will encourage efficiency and equity in the energy production process and a more resilient energy grid.
