Energy Policy Council 2020 Biannual Report
The Energy Policy Council (EPC) is NC’s central energy policy planning body, working with federal, state, regional and local agencies to develop and coordinate energy policy, and make appropriate reports and recommendations to the governor.

DEQ's Energy Group is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable energy future for the citizens of North Carolina. We provide services and technical expertise focused on energy efficiency in the public sector, encourage the growth and development of the state’s energy economy with the goal of making North Carolina a leader in the creation of energy jobs. We also work to increase the use of renewable energy, alternative fuels and energy efficiency throughout the state, serving as the principal source of information for these energy areas. In addition, the group provides staffing for the state Energy Policy Council.
