RE: SCUP - COMMERCIAL FISHING OPERATIONS - ATLANTIC OCEAN- NORTH OF CAPE HATTERAS – OPENING OF SUMMER HARVEST PERIOD

The N.C. Division of Water Resources will host a public hearing to gather comments on six draft wastewater discharge permit renewals for mines in Avery and Mitchell counties.

Local advisory committees for six coastal reserves will meet in April and May.

The meetings are open to the public and scheduled as follows:

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is accepting public comment on an administrative amendment to the air permit for the Chemours Company Fayetteville Works facility.

The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission passed a resolution Thursday opposing offshore oil and gas exploration and drilling off North Carolina.

The N.C . Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will host a public meeting and public hearing Tuesday, April 23, on the proposed coal ash beneficiation project at the Duke Energy Progress, LLC former Cape Fear Power Station. The hearing will be held in the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro.

The N.C. Climate Change Interagency Council will hold its third meeting on April 26 at the NC State Archives Building in Raleigh. The agenda will focus on Section 9 of Executive Order 80, including the development of the North Carolina Climate Risk Assessment and discussion with the climate science experts partnering with the state on that effort.

The N.C. Division of Coastal Management is offering two free workshops for real estate professionals, homeowners associations and property owners in May.
