The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission meeting that was scheduled for April 8-9 in Manteo has been cancelled based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19. All agenda items will be moved to the June 10-11 meeting.    

RALEIGH - The public hearing scheduled for two proposed Carolina Sunrock LLC facilities on Tuesday, March 31, at the Caswell County Historic Courthouse has been postponed based on the current guidance to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.  The public hearing will be rescheduled to a future date. RALEIGH - The public comment period on an air permit application from Active Energy Renewable Power in Lumberton has been extended to Friday, March 27. 

The public hearing to gather comments on Biltmore Farms, LLC water quality certification, scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, has been cancelled based on the current guidance that gatherings of over 100 people should be avoided to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. The Division of Water Resources will explore additional methods to safely provide information during the public comment period.

RALEIGH – The public hearings scheduled for revised log fumigation rules on Tuesday, March 17 in Raleigh and on Wednesday, March 18 in Wilmington, have been postponed based on the current guidance to avoid gatherings of over 100 people to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.

RALEIGH – The community information session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 12, at Hope Mills Middle has been postponed. Given the current guidance on minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendation that people at high risk of illness should avoid large groups and community gatherings, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will reschedule the meeting.
