System Requirements

The system requirements for using the North Carolina eDMR application are minimal and the facility(s) must have the following:

• A basic computer with adequate memory and resources for internet functions
• An internet connection
• An internet browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox)
• A PDF reader (Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, or other available PDF reader)
• A valid email address

Wastewater facilities will need to have the ability to access the eDMR application through the internet. Typically, such access is available either through a dedicated connection through the facility’s local area network or through a connection to an Internet Service Provider.

In addition to an internet connection, the wastewater facility will need one of the commonly available internet browser programs such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or greater) or Mozilla Firefox (version 3.0 or greater).  In general, it is recommended that the current versions of these browsers be used in order to ensure that all of the features of the eDMR application are available.

Please note that there are other internet browsers available besides the two mentioned above, but they have not been tested for use with the eDMR application.  The eDMR application may not function properly with some of these browsers.  To ensure proper function of the eDMR application, users should use either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
