The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. MOD CLT Venture, LLC [370 Lexington Ave Ste 700, New York, NY 10017] has requested a new permit NC0090085 for its Radius Dilworth Overlook [615 E Morehead St, Charlotte] in Mecklenburg County. This permitted facility discharges treated construction dewatering groundwater to Little Sugar Creek in the Catawba River Basin. Some of the parameters in the permit are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of Little Sugar Creek. (Public Notice will run in the News & Observer on 7/15/22).

The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Person County Schools (304 South Morgan Street, Room #25, Roxboro, North Carolina 27573) has applied for renewal of NPDES permit NC0036536 for Woodland Elementary School WWTP in Person County. This permitted facility currently discharges treated wastewater into an unnamed tributary to South Hyco Creek in the Roanoke River Basin. Currently, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Roanoke River Basin. Division of Coastal Management and the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are urging the public to act responsibly during the upcoming July Fourth holiday at the Masonboro Island Reserve, a research reserve and dedicated state nature preserve. In preparation for the holiday, the state coastal agency and the sheriff’s office are working together to provide public safety resources and increase public awareness of responsible visitor behavior on the island.

This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater into Carroll Creek in the Roanoke River Basin. Currently ammonia nitrogen and fecal coliform are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the basin. (Public Notice will run in the Rockingham Now on 7/3/22).
