Methyl Bromide Log Fumigation Permitting Actions and Information
On the issue of methyl bromide in log fumigation use, the Division of Air Quality (DAQ) established an Acceptable Ambient Level and designated it as a state Toxic Air Pollutant, effective November 1, 2020. Read more information here.

The Division of Air Quality sent letter to the following facilities that informed them of their requirement to comply with 15A NCAC 2D .0546 by December 30, 2020 and to submit a permit modification application with changes to include, but not limited to, appropriate monitoring protocols, recordkeeping or control measures.
