Fee adjustments 2023
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Many permit fees have changed for applications received on or after October 3, 2023. North Carolina’s 2023 Appropriations Act Session Law 2023-134 includes fee adjustments for 28 Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) programs, including Stormwater. A full list of fee adjustments is available on the DEQ website.
Certain, limited land disturbing activities can be covered by Post-Construction General Permits, which do not require a detailed technical review by DEMLR. Please see the table below for the activities that can be covered under general permits, copies of the permits, and application forms.
*Note that these general permits are not the same as Industrial General Permits, which can be found here.

As of 1/1/2017, the SWG06 Low Density general permit is no longer offered. Low density projects may apply under the Standard Permitting Process or the Fast Track Permitting Process (if the project qualifies). |
