Water
Water efficiency is a tool that can bring us additional potable water supply. Response to droughts and other emergency situations with water conservation methodologies for meeting short-term immediate water resource demand is only temporary. Expansion of water supply catchments is not a feasible option for meeting additional demands resultant from population growth. Land use patterns, regulatory requirements and ever-increasing costs make creating additional water reservoir capacity difficult. Water efficiency is the new normal that goes far beyond short-term water conservation strategies, to require continuous improvement in technology and use behaviors that will permanently offset current demand in anticipation of future growth. The links on this page will guide you in the development of a wise water use program.
