DW Operator Certification: Exams

Exam Details:

Exam confirmation letters are sent out 2 weeks prior to the examination. If you would like to check earlier if your application has been received, please check via the operator portal.

• Exam location and times may vary. Refer to your confirmation letter for the exact date/time/location.
• Examinees are encouraged to arrive early
• A time limit of three (3) hours will be allowed to complete the exam
• Exam capacity is subject to limitations set by the venue. Applications are considered in the order they are received. Applications received after a venue is full will be moved to another future exam.
• Requests to move your exam location (after your application has already been submitted) must be received at least 14 days before the applicable exam date. These requests will be reviewed by our staff and are subject to availability. All staff decisions are final.
• Requests to transfer your exam date to a later date must be received at least 7 days before the applicable exam date. Any requests to transfer your exam date that are received less than 7 days before the applicable exam date are granted only for sickness/medical emergencies and must be accompanied by a physician's note explaining the sickness/emergency. If you are sick, please do not come to the exam site.
• ADA accommodations are available by advanced request only. Your exam application must be accompanied by a completed Exam Accommodation Request Form in order to qualify.
