Environmental Stewardship Initiative

2016 Members Meeting
May 17, 2016
Hosted by the N.C. Zoo
Stedman Education Center
4401 Zoo Parkway
Asheboro, NC 27205

The 2016 Environmental Stewardship Initiative Annual Members Meeting will be held on May 17th, graciously hosted by the N.C. Zoological Park in Asheboro, NC.  And for the first time, ESI staff will host a Training and Networking Event on May 18th following the Members Meeting.

The Members Meeting is a great opportunity to network with other ESI members and helpful DEQ staff to further your environmental goals.  We will be hearing from up to three of our new Stewards about their success stories to achieve this prestigious status.  We will also be presenting certificates, plaques, and recognition to new partners and renewals. And of course, we will have our Steward member Q&A panel.  The N.C. Zoo hosted the first members meeting in 2005, and we are happy to be returning to this beautiful location.

The following day, during the Training and Networking Event, attendees will hear about topics such as: ISO 14001:2015 update, Setting Effective Environmental Goals, Zero Waste to Landfill 101, and more.  Everyone is welcome to attend this free training.
